Mr. Amit Singh, SolarWindow President & Chief Executive Officer, has been instrumental to ongoing commercialization of the Company’s novel transparent solar technologies — LiquidElectricity®️ coatings, which turn ordinary glass into electricity-generating windows, sunroofs, and other self-powered products.
Immediately upon taking the helm in 2024, Amit quickly mobilized management to drive global adoption of SolarWindow technologies through select-collaborations with leading glass and plastics companies. His target applications of SolarWindow electricity-generating windows and films include commercial buildings, greenhouses, and commercial, recreational, marine, and passenger vehicles.
After more than a decade of R&D, Mr. Singh secured and signed-on the Company’s first commercial manufacturing partner and customer, a leading American glass company producing more than 20,000 windows daily in its 140 plants and distribution centers worldwide.
Mr. Singh oversees and directs all facets of the Company’s operations, with intense focus on developing and monetizing strategic intellectual property, tightly aligning research and development with revenue-driven business opportunities, and optimizing operating efficiencies to manage costs.
A passionate entrepreneur, Amit has diverse experience with incubating and developing ventures in cleantech and renewables, biomedical devices, drug discovery and development, and financial marketing and advertising.
He is also grounded in compliance and governance. Previously, as a Risk and Strategy Consultant at Crowe, Mr. Singh worked to identify high-risk areas for public and private companies, detecting weaknesses in business models and helping develop, re-engineer, and implement core business processes.
Amit also served as the Executive Director of a non-profit, where he coordinated the efforts of more than 5,000 global volunteers to break the cycle of homelessness by providing meals, basic needs, education, mentoring, tutoring, and support.
Mr. Singh earned his MBA from the University of Michigan and received his undergraduate business degree from Wayne State University.
